This is just a quick video on a easy smokey eye I posted on Instagram the other day. I used three shadows from the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, Ardell lashes, MAC Blacktrack gel liner.
Step 1: Apply primer all over your eyelid to brow bone to keep your shadow in place and from creasing.
Step 2: Apply black (or any dark color) to your lid all the way up to the crease.
Step 3: Apply a medium transition color to your crease and blend until both colors are blended and has a gradient effect.
Step 4: Take a lighter color (opt for a matte color vs a shimmer) and apply that color where the medium transition color ends and blend upwards toward your brow bone.
Step 5: Take a mixture of the dark lid color and the medium color and apply it to the bottom lash line focusing it towards the outer corner.
Step 5: Use your eyeliner to line the upper and lower waterline & smudge out the color.
Step 6: Pick a shimmery color (the gold color in the video), wet your makeup brush, pick up the color, and apply to the inner corner and work it onto the inner corner of your bottom lash line.
Step 7: Apply your mascara, lashes, and curl them to blend your natural and false lashes together.
The most important tip for creating a smokey eye? Blend, blend, blend!
