I am all for natural remedies and cures. In the past year I have tried to live more naturally and clean. I use as many organic and natural products as I can & I try to eat as clean as possible. A lot of my clients have asked me about natural acne remedies and cures, so I did a little research and experimented for you all. I wanted to find natural and easily attainable products that will help with acne, wether it’s cystic or very light acne.

1. Tea Tree Oil- Tea tree oil is an essential oil and can be a very powerful all natural remedy for acne, as it is antibacterial. To apply it, mix a small amount of tea tree oil with an equal amount of water. Dip a cotton ball into the mixture and apply it to your skin. You can reapply throughout the day or leave it on under your makeup.

2. Coconut Oil- Coconut oil is antibacterial and antifungal. Coconut oil is also extremely moisturizing and gentle. It helps fight the bacteria and reduce redness. Apply the coconut oil to your skin and massage it in. You can reapply a couple times per day. With coconut oil, there is no need to ever use a moisturizer again, it works so well and doesn’t clog your pores. For optimal benefit, use organic coconut oil that is unrefined.

3. Papaya- As a topical application, you can make a mask of mashed papaya and apply to your skin for 10 to 15 minutes. The fleshy part of the papaya, when mashed and placed on the face, deposits antimicrobial, or bacteria-fighting agents onto the skin. This helps reduce acne infections caused by acne-causing bacteria. Papain, the protein-dissolving enzyme found in papayas, is so effective at breaking down proteins that it is one of the primary ingredients used in meat tenderizers. Papain is also one of the leading ingredients in anti-aging lotions and creams. Although some of its properties, such as the papain enzyme, are strong, the non-invasive, non-surgical and non-pharmaceutical application of papaya to treat acne is preferred by multitudes of people who embrace a holistic approach to health.

Good luck! Thank you for reading!
